Villa del Pescador is located right by the main dock in Zihuatanejo very close to downtown and provides an endless array of amenities within the budget price range.
The interiors of the hotel are decorated with rustic elements, and every room is air-conditioned.
Seating areas with sea or pool views are in each room, while upgraded units include spa baths or hot tubs. Room service is provided.
Onsite restaurants, a bar, a pool, and a terrace are part of the property.
Free WiFi works throughout the hotel, and car and bike hire facilities are available for Villa del Pescador guests as well.
Booked the private infinity pool room; it is worth it! The AC worked really well, the room was spacious, there was plenty of storage space, and the blackout shades were effective.

The hotel has suites and king rooms that are spacious and neatly designed, featuring TVs, wireless internet, and private bathrooms, and select suites have kitchens as well.
The outdoor pool has a lounging area and secure parking is provided to the guests onsite.
With a children’s playground on the property, it’s the best hotel in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo if you’re looking for a budget option for families.
Everything was clean and their staff was very nice. The suite with three bedrooms and three bathrooms was awesome.

So, if you’re looking for an upscale stay in a touristy area with lively nightlife nearby, Ixtapa is the best place for it.
And if you want to be surrounded by the traditional allure of a Mexican fishing village, then Zihuatanejo is perfect for you.
Whichever place you choose for your stay, you can still explore both towns during your stay because they’re right next to each other – and I highly recommend doing so!
Getting Around Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo
Public transportation options are great in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
You can order a cab from your hotel in both towns, and they’re readily available everywhere else as well.
Similarly, airport transfers are also arranged by most hotels. There’s also a shuttle service between both these towns throughout the day.
Alternatively, you can rent a car if you’re staying for longer and planning on visiting tons of places in and around Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
