25 Hearty & Healthy Soups, Stews and Chilis to keep you going through the chilly days to come!
When fall hits, I turn to soups, stews and chilis to keep us fed! There is nothing I love better than a steaming bowl of something warm and cozy with lots of room for dipping a fresh made roll or chunk of crusty bread. It is pretty much my favorite things in the winter! (And yes, I’m one of those people who claims every thing is My Favorite Thing, so get over it!)
What are some of your favorite fall and winter comfort foods? Pastas? Stews? Casseroles? Holiday baking? Winter comfort food is some of my favorite of the year! The Christmas goodies don’t hurt either 😉
This list of soups, stews and chillis will give you enough variety to see you through until the days start getting longer and the sun starts to get warmer.
If you wish to share or save for later (please do!), please save/share the collage image instead of the individual photos below — people sometimes get confused if they see a single picture shared and are led to a round up! 🙂

Soup is my ultimate comfort food. It gets really cold and blustery here in the winter, so I could really eat it every day from December to March. These recipes all look so yummy. That Thai pumpkin soup popped out right away!

You are so speaking my language with this post! I’m all about the soups and chilies right now and it isn’t even that cold here, haha! I think the temperature in our house is colder than outside so I will just sit inside with a warm blanket and a big bowl of soup! I hope you are saying warm! Happy New Year, Ashley!

Hi Ashley! I am such a soup person, doesn’t matter what the weather! However, our winter in TN has arrived – cooler (not cold like it used to be in MI) and I am in the mood for soup, stew and chili! Gary has been making no-knead breads that are really good for dunking! Thanks for all the new recipes! 🙂

Oh yes — bread and soup are the best combo! I always need something for dunking 🙂 I can also eat soup anytime of year, but I do get a little more excited about it when the weather is chilly!

Soup is the best especially when you have homemade bread. Chicken noodle soup, beef stew, and chili are my favorite kinds of soups and stews. I also like soups made with lentils because they taste so good and are so filling. That Tuscan Chicken stew looks so good.
