BACON PANCAKE DIPPERS INGREDIENTS-SEMI HOMEMADE VERSION-This version only makes 12 pancake dippers. For a big batch, double the recipe or they will all be eaten every single time. (full printable recipe below on recipe card)

  • 1 recipe of the Bisquick pancake mix including the ingredients to make the pancake batter
  • 12 slices center cut bacon strips or your favorite bacon
  • lite or your favorite maple syrup

BACON PANCAKE DIPPERS INSTRUCTIONS-SEMI HOMEMADE VERSION

  1. Cook bacon and set aside.
  2. Mix batter according to the package directions.
  3. Preheat oven to the lowest temperature or on warm.
  4. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  5. Pour into a squeeze bottle with a big enough hole for the batter to pour from. I used a cheap picnic ketchup bottle. The tall skinny ones that also come in yellow for mustard. You can find them during the summer at the Dollar Tree. Cut the tip off to make the opening bigger.
  6. Heat griddle ( I heat mine to 300°).
  7. Squeeze batter in a long oval shape a little longer and wider then the bacon and place cooked bacon strips in the center.
  8. Lightly press bacon into the batter.
  9. Squeeze more batter over the bacon in a zig zag pattern.
  10. This is to protect the bacon from the griddle and keep the bacon in place when the dipper is turned over.
  11. Cook until the batter starts to bubble then turn over and cook a few minute longer or until golden brown.
  12. Place cooked pancakes on prepared pan and keep warm in the preheated oven.
  13. Serve with syrup.
