This Miso Roasted Broccoli side dish comes together really quickly, so it’s great for busy nights. Simply mix together the miso sauce mix, rub it into the broccoli, and roast for 10 minutes. Done!

This would be a nice side dish for a simple Asian meal or even for a nice dish dinner.

The tray right after coming out of the oven, you’ll save yourself lots of clean-up time if you line the pan first.

Also, it does stick a bit to the bottom of the pan, so use a spatula to remove them, or simply use your hands to help peel any stuck on bits off.

And, it’s one of the veggies that I have no problem getting my family to eat. I think broccoli is pretty well liked when it comes to veggies.

Even for picky eaters

The miso paste isn’t a strong flavor, if you aren’t familiar with it. It simply adds a nice salty flavor, and a bit of moisture to the broccoli.

It’s the perfect simply way to make roasted broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli cut into florets, about 3 ½ to 4 cups
  • 1 tablespoon light olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 °F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Place the broccoli florets on the baking sheet.

  • In a small bowl, mix oil, miso paste, and garlic powder. Using your hands, rub the miso mixture into the broccoli florets, and spread the broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet.

  • Roast for 10 minutes, or until broccoli start to brown and smell fragrant.

    OK, this is wild. I was dreaming up recipe ideas last night as I fell asleep and one of the things that floated through my mind was miso-glazed roasted broccoli! I was going to try a miso dressing after roasting. I love this idea, though!

    It sure is nice to have a vegetarian option for the holidays… We have 2 vegetarians this year and Im trying to make sure they get all of their favorites! Did a test run last night and know EVERYONE will love this so I only have to make one!
