From the Emmys to the Met Gala, the Baftas to the Oscars, scrolling through all the gorgeous dresses our favourite celebrities wear on the red carpet is one of our favourite pastimes.
The Oscars in March was a real highlight, with the likes of Emma Stone, Margot Robbie and Jennifer Lawrence debuting show-stopping red carpet dresses for us all to swoon over, followed by the Met Gala, aka 'fashion's biggest night'. The A-list took to a cream carpet wearing imaginative outfits inspired by the 2024 dress code The Garden of Time, and we're still fawning over Sienna Miller's boho revival moment.
This year, the stars of TV also enjoyed their moment in the Baftas spotlight, with everyone from Claudia Winkleman to Elizabeth Debicki showing off stunning red carpet looks. Then Cannes Film Festival rolled around in May, with Meryl Streep and Greta Gerwig among those appearing on the red carpet at star-studded premieres.
But from now until 7 September, it's all about one of the most glamorous events of the year: the Venice Film Festival. So far, we've seen the likes of Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett and Taylor Russell serving some serious sartorial aces.
Read on for our pick of the best red carpet dresses from Venice and the rest of this year's glitziest events below.
