Make a tender, juicy Ninja Foodi Pork Tenderloin, this uses the air crisp function of the Ninja Foodi!
If you enjoyed the Ninja Foodi Pulled Pork, now let’s try this Ninja Foodi Pork Tenderloin. I’ll tell you this was the best pork tenderloin I’ve ever tasted, and it will definitely be a regular on our menu!
This pork tenderloin uses the air crisp function of the Ninja Foodi or it can also be made in the air fryer too with the same time and temperature.
Tips for Making this recipe:
The pork should reach an internal temperature of at least 145*F, this took about 20-25 minutes in our Ninja Foodi at 390*F.
This is again made with the air crisp function so it’s basically an Air Fryer Pork Tenderloin.
The pork can be seasoned with your preferred seasoning, we used a simple seasoning of salt and pepper, then topped it once it was done with some tasty brown gravy.
I was pretty surprised by how easy this recipe actually is and how simple it is to make a juicy pork tenderloin right in the Ninja Foodi.
Can you cook pork tenderloin in the air fryer?
Pork Tenderloin can be easily cooked in the air fryer or the air crisp using the Ninja Foodi. This recipe is made with the air crisp function which is basically an air fryer, not the pressure cooker function.
I prefer the crispy taste and texture rather than the pressure cooker. It can be done using the pressure cooker, but in this recipe, it will use the air crisp function.
What is pork tenderloin?
The pork tenderloin is a boneless cut that runs along the backbone, it’s actually from the muscle. It’s also very narrow too, they are easy to find in most grocery stores.
They are very tender and juicy. We find they are great for kids because they are smaller too.
Now, are you ready for a tasty dinner?

20 minutes has been perfect for ours, it’s going to vary depending on the size and amount of heat the machine puts off, the internal temp though needs to be at least 145*F.

I agree I’m at 35 minutes and it could use 5 more minutes.

I don’t have a cooking thermometer so how will I know if it’s done?
Reply
Mommy Hates Cooking says
It would basically be when it’s no longer pink; however, a meat thermometer would be the safest way to check.

Buy one maybe. Easy to find and not expensive.

Get yourself 2 meat thermometers… One you can leave in lthe meat while cooking and one to test the meat with

Thanks for the cooking guide! I cooked it for 25 minutes, but probably could have been done at 20. I bought an already seasoned loin at the store. Paired it with the old stand-by “Suddenly Salad” and some steamed green beans. Yum!

I had a 4 pound tenderloin that was too big to fit so I cut it in half and cooked one half at a time. The first one I tried 20 minutes and it was not done in the middle at all, so I sliced it up because we needed it done quick and put it back in for 5 minutes and it was cooked through and tasted great. I’m wondering if the circumference was bigger than a 2 pound so that’s why it wasn’t cooked all the way? The second half was even fatter around so i did 20 minutes on the air fryer then checked the temp, which was at 130. Since it was pretty brown and looked great on the outside I switched the ninja to bake/roast hoping that it wouldn’t get too brown but cook the inside. I set it for 15 minutes and checked it again and it was 165 degrees so I guess that was overkill. It did get a bit more brown but not too much. So, next time, I’ll look for a thinner cut or turn the temp down and cook longer for a large cut like this one. Overall this was a good starting point so that I didn’t have to totally guess how to cook this meat. Thanks!! Oh and I”m also wondering if I could have cooked both pieces on the two lever rack and how that might affect the time and temp? Any ideas??

I made this for dinner. I put the oil on first, then rubbed on a mixture of salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. The crispy skin was wonderful. I can’t wait to use the air fryer to cook another tenderloin. Delicious!
I cooked two different tenderloins. I took one out after 15 minutes, cut it to check the color, and it was done. The second tenderloin was thicker. I cooked it for 20 minutes, and it was done.
I know I’m supposed to use a meat thermometer, but I haven’t had great luck with the Ninja thermometer so far.Reply

Unless I missed it you didn’t mention what to use to cook for 20 min. Air crisp or bake/roast or doesn’t it matter.

Mommy Hates Cooking says
It’s air crisp (air fryer), I’ll update it to clarify.

Instead of air fryer can you cook a pork loin on bake? If so what temp and how long? Every recipe I see is always air fryer and never toast or bake. I’m new to this all and I’m confused. It’s like why have all these other functions on the food I if everything I’d fry? Thank you for your help.
P.S. Happy New YearReply
Mommy Hates Cooking says
I’m sure you can but I’ve always used Air Crisp (Air Fryer) so I’m not sure what the time and temps would be for it on the bake function. I’d probably start at a similar temp as you would do in the oven and then watch it throughout until it reaches the correct internal temperature.

Do you need to flip the tenderloin halfway through?
Reply
Mommy Hates Cooking says
I didn’t, but I’d suggest checking on it halfway through and if you feel it isn’t cooking evenly on both sides go ahead and flip it. A lot of times the machines heat differently.

Jeff says
If you use more seasoning like I do you should flip halfway thru. I use brown sugar, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper use a half TBS of olive oil on each and rub them around in the seasoning so it ends up with a tasty crusty skin and I drizzle the leftover drippings on it when it is setting before slicing.

Hi! Thanks for sharing g this recipe. I had 2 loins in one package equaling about 3 pounds. I preheated the air crisper for 10 minutes at 400° after 40 minutes at 400° it is nowhere near done. I still have totally raw meat in there. The loins are not overlapping or even touching. ??????????

That’s strange!! Mine don’t take long at all…did you start with thawed pork loins? Air Fryers do heat very differently, but these should not take all that long in most air fryers.

Hi! I just got a ninja foodi and am excited to try this recipe! Should I use the air fryer basket plate thing or can I just put it in the base pot and do the air crisp function?

I’m wanting to do my pork loin i the Ninja
I want to add some really small quarter size
Potatoes, carrots and onions
What is best way to do?Reply
Mommy Hates Cooking says
You could add them in with it, just watch the veggies so they don’t overcook.

Rubbish, no way does it cook in 20mins, still raw in the middle

Mommy Hates Cooking says
Sorry it didn’t work out for you, did you use a boneless tenderloin? I am using a Ninja Air Fryer for this recipe and 20 minutes has always been perfect for ours but all air fryers will always heat differently so you may have to add time depending on the one you are using.

Also, people need to know the difference between a tenderloin and just a loin. The loin is usually larger and will take longer to cook.

20 min and mine was perfect. The two pieces totaled 2.67lbs. Is it possible your cuts were thicker or your using a lower capacity foodi that does not give enough space to circulate. The foodi comes in 3 sizes. 5qt, 6.5qt and the XL 8qt.

Can I start it frozen?

I haven’t done it from frozen, so it would likely need more time for cooking.

I get a preseason one that my daughter loves (She’s 26) and she asks me to cook one every week. I never even tried cooking a tenderloin until I got my Foodi and now with the help of your recipes I am cooking more and better than I ever have. Thanks for taking the time to help others that have no clue how to really use the foodi and make great easy meals.

20 minutes has always been the sweet spot for mine, it’s going to depend on your machine and the heat it puts out plus the thickness of your meat. Did you put it in frozen at all or fully defrosted? This recipe is done fully defrosted.

I love this. Our local store has adout 4 or 5 different preseasoned flavor tenderloins weighing usually around 18.5 to 22.5 oz. and I just preheat for 5 minutes and then cook for 20-22 minutes and it comes out perfect everytime.
